While I support those who aim to create peace within themselves, I've noticed a tendency for many potential peace activists to avoid collective action.
I've heard the arguments like the 100th monkey story or; 'if everyone acts like me...'; 'I'm sending out peace vibrations', 'I have to get my own act together first', etc.
Meanwhile, terrible wars rage on, poverty and social inequality increases and innocent people are tortured.
Anyone with ideas on how to motivate this large pool of otherwise enlightened individuals to more actively participate in global/local peace movements??
